 Seahorse Organics was created as a way to provide people with a variety of organic cotton clothing and organic products. We also hope to introduce "green movement" newcomers to the high quality and luxury of these items.
We believe in the power to vote with our dollars. It is very important when purchasing anything to think about where and whom it came from; the impact it had or has on the environment; and what will happen to it when it is no longer needed. The answers to these questions will reveal if it is a responsible purchase. Think about the manufacturer of an item. º Do they care about their employees or are they notorious for using cheap labor in terrible working conditions? We should support companies who take care of their employees or pay a fair amount for goods and labor. º Does the item come from a distant location so that it contributes to greenhouse gases during transportation? Granted, many wonderful products can only be found in other parts of the world, and global manufacturing has improved the income and lives of international workers in poorer countries. But when possible it is best to buy local goods and foods. º What will happen to the product in the future? Can it be easily and safely disposed? Can it be recycled? Is it of high quality so that it can be passed along to someone else? Buying things that will quickly add to landfills, or worse, contaminate them, is irresponsible. Seahorse Organics carries clothing and products that are good to the environment, fair to the manufacturers and growers, and, when possible, manufactured in the United States. Many of our products are recyclable. All are made with superior ingredients and materials. All are chosen for discriminating and conscientious consumers. In purchasing these products you are voting with your dollars. You are making a statement that you do not condone bad business practices, pesticides nor global warming.
